Art Portfolio 2: Welcome post
Welcome back once again to my blog! And in this blog, I will be sharing a small reflection of last term and what I could have done to improve the end results.
I am also looking forward to meet this term's projects conditions with better characters, more details, and improved character designs. I feel like they were rushed when I was designing them so this time, I want to make sure that I produce top notch quality character.
The major problem that caused not to get desirable result was because there was no balance between my 3D project and my blog. Since I was focusing too much on my 3D project, I was inconsistent on my blog, which lead to poor quality posts.
For this term, in order to find that balance, I am planning to work on my projects as I post. This will help me be consistent and up to date with both my project, and on blogger. The reason why I lacked the balance was because of various reasons which includes finding the right software that suited me for this project while being on a time crunch. After finding the right software, I had to learn about the features and how to use as well, with the help of YouTube tutorials.
Fortunately, for this term, since I know the mistakes I made in the previous term, avoiding them should be simple. For this this term's project, I am looking forward use the skills and knowledge that I learnt from last term, along with a balanced out put on both the blogger and the project.
You write really well, Ange, wish there was a bit more substance to your posts! So you have identified some of the issues of last term without being too specific about what you would like to expand on this term. The inclusion of the character sketches suggests that drawing should underpin your Animated practise, but not commenting on these images or saying why you chose to include them on this post, makes them seem a little pointless!
ReplyDeletePosting regularly will really help your mark, all of the assessments you have done with us this year so far have hovered around a pass mark. If you continue this at Undergraduate, you will receive a Third class honours - this is not great if you are wishing to go into Postgraduate or into your industry unless you want an entry level job. Therefore, respond to feedback, post consistently, demonstrate the development of your project with a LOT of sketches, notes, ideas - record EVERYTHING you do on this blog this term.
...and post your mind map/initial ideas for the start of Week 2.
