Art Portfolio : 3D project process (Settings and setup)

For my final project of this term, I will be creating a 2D animation as my 3D project, and in this post, I will be going through the processes I went through to bring my character to life, using Clip studio.

To begin with, I opened clip studio and made a new file for my animation, with a width of 1920, and height, 1080. I also changed the resolution to 300, and then named the file Eminence in Shadow.

After opening the file, I added a new Animation folder, to facilitate the whole process while animating.

Afterwards, I also added a new Timeline to help me navigate through out the whole layers while animating.

After creating the timeline, I then selected the following the Timeline settings for my animation.

Finally, I enable Onion skins, and changed the settings to where I'd be able to see the 3 previous frames which whole help me track my drawings better, and give them smooth motion. I also made sure to lower the opacity of each frame to make sure it does not become too much with all the previous drawing showing up with too many lines.

Furthermore, I then got to drawing using animation cels, which are also know as the layers that contain my drawings.
